We are starting to feel like pros at taking care of Brayden. He is a very happy baby and it is a joy taking care of him. We are still supplementing some formula but he is primarily surviving off of breast milk. It isn't mommy's favorite thing to do but she is still learning. I love him so much that it makes it worth it. He has changed so much this month. He is holding his head up so well, and is very alert. He loves his rain forest bouncy seat. He watches this little frog go up and down. He smiles at it every time. We can get him to smile all the time now. He is making noises with his smiles, but I still don't think it is considered a laugh. Our little man tries his best to talk to us. It is so adorable. He started daycare this month, Kids Discovery. I thought mommy was going to have a breakdown, but we survived and he has adapted well. Daycare is harder for the parents than the children. After a month of no sleep we decided we had to have a schedule. We started bath time at 7pm, then swaddle, then eat, and off to sleep. Our little munchkin will not sleep in his bed. He loves his swing and sleeping beside mommy. We primarily let him sleep in the swing. He loves it and it works for us. I hope next month we get him in a bed, but as long as we are sleeping we are not complaining. Brayden loves to eat so much and he gets very upset anytime you take food from him. He has earned the nickname "mommy's little monster". He grunts and makes mean faces if you take the bottle out of his mouth. We ended this month at 12lbs 120z, and 23 3/4 inches. At his 2month check up he was doing great, but of course had to get the dreaded shots. It wasn't a big deal to him, but I was terrified. He handled it like a little man! He is now sleeping about 6 hours a month. It has been another fun and exciting month!!!
To our Brayden:
Well it has been two months already. We can't believe it. We love you so much and can't believe how amazing you are. Our lives are changed so much but only for the better. You make our family seem more like a family. It is a joy to get up with you every morning, even when you decide that wake up time is 2, 3, or 4am. We love you so much and look forward to watching you grow.
