Long time long time

Well it has been FOREVER since I have updated this but I would like to get started back. A lot has happened since we last posted. My grandfather passed away in March. Jeremy is starting a new job this week in networking. I am going to school, and will be finished in a year and a half. I have went back to work and Brayden goes to his babysitter Lani for a few hours a week. I only work part time. Brayden had his first holidays, he turned one, started walking, talks like crazy, and has had many new adventures. He is now 18 months.... yes it has flew by. I enjoy every moment with him but it makes you sad to see them grow so fast. It is now summer time and we are busy at the pool, zoo, waterpark, and beach. We have an oil spill fastly approaching and we are praying it doesn't ruin our beautiful beaches. Some of Brayden's favorite things to do right now are to play cars/trucks, swim, play on the slides, feed the ducks at the park, and spend time with mom and dad. He is eating about everything in site. Brayden loves candy and will try and trick us to give him more and more. I will try to start updating this once a month to show what Brayden is doing that month and what we have going on. We are a very happy family and love every moment together! until next time.......

Talking

You have begun trying to say all kinds of stuff. You have now said mama which really made me happy. You say da da da da da da da all the time!!! And you have lots of other things to say too. It is so cute to watch you try to communicate.

1st Tooth

Well we have a tooth starting to make it's arrival. You can now see the little thing coming up from the gums. It is so cute! It made it's appearance 2 days ago. I'm sure we will have little teeth popping up everywhere soon. You haven't gotten very moody with the teething so hopefully you will be able to handle it very well.

7 Month Pictures

We got your 7 month pictures done. When we were doing the pictures you were all of a sudden able to sit up by yourself. You are doing great just sitting all alone and you look like a little man doing it.

July 1st - 19th

We have had a fun month so far. We have been doing lots of swimming. We go on most of daddy's days off. You are still loving going swimming, and we love taking you. You will get in your little boat and we will push you all around the pool.

Your Granny, Aunt Mahaley, and cousin Alyssa came to visit. They haven't been able to see you since March so they had a lot of fun seeing how much you have changed and grown. We went to the beach one afternoon with them and just watched the water. You still seem to like the noise of the water so it seemed to calm you a little bit.

You are still eating good. We tried to feed you some of the baby food meat and you did not like it. You actaully spit it all in my face. It wasn't a pleasant experience. We will try meat again in a few weeks. You are still eating the same stuff, and ofcourse the daily smoothie.

Your sleeping schedule hasn't changed a bit from last month. We did try 2 nights ago to get you to sleep in your bed. You woke up 5 times in about an hour. We gave up and took you back to our room. We will try again in a few weeks to see if you are ready.

We took a trip to the dr to get your checkup. We found out that you have a condition called hypospadias. Mommy is scared to death because they are saying you may have to have surgery. We go to see a pediatric urologist in a few weeks to find out more information. Basically what happens is your uretha (the pee pee pipe) doesnt line up correctly. We are hoping that all is great and you don't have to get surgery but we will have to see.

June

June:
We haven't been keeping up with the blog good so we are going to do a quick catch up.
You have became mobile this month. At first you were only able to go backwards. You would scoot backwards to what ever you wanted. Then with time you learned to go forward. It isn't a crawl but you are getting where you want to get. You will get up on your hands and toes, rock back and forward, and then throw yourself forward to whatever you want to get to. It is the cutest thing ever to watch.

Talking: Well you haven't said mama yet but I know it is coming. You will say da da which makes mommy very jealous, but daddy just loves it. You will also say boo and hey boo boo. Sherrie started you on that one.

Eating: You are a great eater. For breakfast you have rice cereal mixed with a fruit, lunch is a vegetable, snack is a fruit, and dinner is rice cereal mixed with a vegetable. You also love to eat smooties. You will suck them out of a straw all by yourself. It is interesting to watch. You go crazy over the smoothies. You don't care what fruit I put in them you will eat it. I think the coldness soothes your gums.

Teething: It is obvious you are teething because you drool all over everything and you are constantly chewing on stuff. We have to have a tooth coming soon. I know it is under there causing you pain and I wish it would come on out.
Play time: One of your favorite things to do is to be outside and to go swimming. You love swimming. We go over to our friend's pool all the time and you have a blast. Just the sight of the pool gets you squealing. You, mommy, and daddy go swimming all the time. You are becoming a tan little baby. You also enjoy the beach. I will take your little yellow pool to the beach and fill it with toys and you have a blast. You also like getting in the water. You were very good the first time we took you. I was very surprised but you were a champ! You also love to play peek-a-boo. you will hide in your high chair where you can't see the person behind you and then you will pop our head out and start laughing. At first you would only play with Sherrie but now you will play with any of us. You love our dog Roxy. Everything she does is funny to you. She will let you pinch her and grab her legs, which you love to do. She will walk by your high chair and you just laugh and laugh.

Sleeping: Well we have went a little backwards in sleeping. You are waking up several times a night. You are still going to bed between 7:30 and 8:30 and sleep till 6:30 or 7:30 but you wake up several times during the night. You are still in the co-sleeper attached to our bed and you want to be swaddled. you like to get in the bed with us between 2 and 4am. You love sleeping with mommy and daddy. You are a great napper. You will nap for 2-3 hours in the morning and 1-2 hours in the afternoon. Hopefully with time we will get you to sleep without your swaddle and into your crib but not until you ar ready.
We have had lot of visitors. In the beginning of the month your nana came down to bring your uncle Robbie to stay the summer with us. After they left we had BB, Brandy, her boys Heath Jr and Hayden, Lacey and her boyfriend Sammy. They stayed for almost a week. WE had a blast. You had your first trip to the park wich was quite a success. You loved the slide and the swings. We played for a few hours and you never got tired of it. We also went to the Gulfarium and you liekd to see the dolphins jump out of the water. It was very hot though and we were having a hard time dealing with heat. You also took your first boat trip. You liked being on the boat and hearing all of the water around us. It seems like the sound of water calms you. We went on a dolphin sunset cruise. It was lots and lots of fun!!! After this group left, we had your nana, aunt Deven, and her boyfriend Danny came. BB had stayed to visit a little longer. We had fun with them and we celebrated Deven's 17th birthday with her. We visited the beach and you enjoyed it.

Well Brayden it has been a fun and exciting month. You are growing up so fast and I am trying to enjoy every moment I possibly can with you. You are so enjoyable. We have a blast every single day together. Me and Daddy play all day long with you, and you will not have it any other way. We are looking forward to everyday with you, and we can't wait to watch you grow and learn new things everyday. Love Mommy and Daddy!

Week 21 and 22

Brayden has really hit another growth spurt. It seems like I say that over and over but he is always growing like a little weed. He has been trying out all kinds of new food and loves it! He has now had green beans, squash, carrots, applesauce, peaches, bananas, and sweet potatoes. I would say carrots and bananas are his favorite, and green beans are the least favorite. He seems like a different baby now that he is eating food. He actually acts like he is not starving. He is so good! We have finally settled into a routine. We get up around 5am breastfeed then go back to sleep till about 7. We get up and walk about 2miles come home and eat a fruit and cereal, take a nap, get up and play for a while, eat lunch, take another nap, then he is up for the rest of the day, we eat a snack, try to walk another 2miles depending on his mood, eat dinner, bath time, bottle, bed, and mommy finally rest! It's nice being in a routine, but it can be bad too because if we aren't home for nap time he gets very upset. We also can't do anything at night because at 6:30-7:00 he starts to have a break down because he knows it is bath time.
Brayden rolled over back to stomach. Now that he realizes he can do it he will not lay on his back. It is so cute but it seems like he is growing up too fast. Now when he rides in the stroller he has to sit up and hold onto the tray like a big boy not my little baby that laid back. He is so curious of everything that is going on. He is a very alert baby.
We are still battling a cough. It is so frustrating because we do not know why he has it so bad and it will not go away. We are starting to be concerned that it could be allergies. I am going to take him back to the dr. this week and get a 3rd opinion. He coughs really bad at bed time.
Well that is about all that is new. Nana comes tomorrow! More post coming soon.....
